Myra J. Wittenauer

Myra J. Wittenauer, nee Gabriel, 88, of Belleville, IL, born September 12, 1921, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, August 23, 2010, at her residence.   



Myra was retired from Famous-Barr Company, St. Louis, MO, where she had worked as an interior decorator.  She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.



Mrs. Wittenauer was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence F. Wittenauer; a son, Randal Wittenauer; her parents, August E. and Hilda M., nee Dietz, Gabriel; a brother, August Gabriel; and her step-mother, Loretta, nee Pour, Gabriel.



Surviving are three sons and a daughter, Nancy (Tom) Stubblefield of Pensacola, FL, Robert (April) Wittenauer of Shawnee Mission, KS, Richard (Laura) Wittenauer of Mission Viejo, CA, and Russell Wittenauer of Belleville, IL; five grandsons, Bradley (Kelly) Wittenauer, David (Tara) Wittenauer, Camden Wittenauer, Matthew Wittenauer, and Quinten Wittenauer; two granddaughters, Rachel (Aaron) Sestrich and Sarah Wittenauer; one brother, Donald Gabriel of Belleville, IL; one sister, Ruth (James) Fries of Belleville, IL; and one great-granddaughter, Addison Sestrich.                         



In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Teresa Catholic Church or in the form of masses.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.



Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.



Funeral:  Funeral procession will leave at 9:45 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2010, from George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. Donald Eichenseer officiating.



 Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
