My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Upon hearing about David, I immediately thought of the times he and I spent together before your marriage fixing up cars; attending SIUE together; and spending nights at his home in Freeburg as we cruised the village.

Words never seem to be enough at times like these, but I pray that you will put your faith in the Father and allow him to guide you and your family through this and I pray that He will give you comfort and peace.

We have been so much more than just neighbors across the street for the past 25 years – you and Dave have been a sister and Dave has been a big brother to me. You both are a Godsend. Dave always offered a helping hand with a smile and a joke or two thrown in. We have laughed and cried together through many good times and some not so good times. And when Rodney and I married, you and Dave welcomed him. Now being away on vacation visiting Rod’s family I am at a complete loss of not being there with you, because I feel I should be. So know that you are in our every thought and prayer. With God’s Blessings and our love, Angie & Rod.

Mr. Etling was my P.E. instructor at McKendree College. I had such a blast taking his classes. I had so much fun that I ended up student teaching at Scott Elementary with him. He was always full of laughter and jokes. I will never forget that. In fact, I still have a manilla folder full of jokes that he gave me during my student teaching. My prayers and thoughts go out to Michelle and the rest of the family.

Completely shocked reading this news in the paper this week. All the words have already been spoken but maybe you will find some comfort in these words. Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Author Unknown
