I find words are the hardest for me to communicate just now. Instead, I would hope that dear family and friends can find peace knowing that mixed with tears, tonight, I can't help but find myself laughing loudly as I remember the humor that was so an imortant part of my young friend, Casey's, life. I am Blessed to have shared some very silly moments...

Denny and Mary Helen: I'm sorry we are not able to be there to hug and comfort you in your loss of Casey. We celebrate Caseys life and new glorious beginning with our Lord. I'm sorry the physical distance in our lives didn't allow for more time with him, but from what I hear you both raised a great boy. God's peace be with you and your family.

My heart goes out to his family and a heart is sad. He always had a smile on his face and when I worked with him at Grandpas, he was always encouraged me. I will miss him and he will always be a part of my soul. I'm sure he is looking down from heaven at all of us and laughing. Thank you Casey for being a part of my life and always making me feel good about myself

Please accept my deepest sympathy for I too know the pain of losing someone you love. May your family find comfort as I have in knowing that our loving heavenly Father promises us that very soon he will 'swallow up death forever and wipe the tears from all faces' by means of his son Jesus. (Isaiah 25:8) What a wonderful day that will be!

(Isaiah 25:8) He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it].

Although I know him long, and my interaction with him was short, Casey was quite a young man. Casey came into any situation "running" and went out the same way. He was an "idea" man and bounced from one to the next like Tigger on Winnie the Pooh! He was two conversations ahead of the one that he was presently in and spread this energy and enthusiasm like wildfire. I came to know Casey in our formation of the band YARN-- his vision and ideas kept cropping up from week to week. He and his fellow bandmate and friend, JB Bridge, constantly pushed the envelope with a wide variety of song choices and unusual arrangements, both on covers and unique originals. Casey's eyes and powerful smile lit up in great anticipation of what he was thinking next and he could hardly wait to tell us what was going on in his mind. He truly had a zest for life and seemed to live it to the fullest. Never afraid to take that next chance and see where it would take him. My short-lived stint in this adventurous band was very interesting and entertaining and gave me pleasure and a feeling of comfort to know that there are/were still some very admirable and talented youths (since Casey & JB were both nearly 10 years younger) coming up in this world. Casey was a very accomplished guitarist and loved the music. Casey was a loving and loyal person which was evident by his kind mentions of his parents and sister on several occassions during our band practices. My sincere compliments to his parents on a very supportive and loving upbringing of your children---the love was proof! Several years after my departure from YARN, I had the opportunity to speak to Casey on the phone about an upcoming YARN reunion and during that conversation, I asked him about what was going on in his life. His enthusiasm, again, came through when he spoke about his wife, Sarah, and his children. Casey was a "good guy" and will be missed. My sincere sympathy to his parents, sister, wife and children on their loss. Take solace in the knowledge that you will someday get to see his energetic, smiling face again in a much better place. Keep your fond memories of him close at heart and know that you helped to make him as happy as he made you! I would also like to pass my thoughts onto JB and to Brian (I apologize I don't remember your last name, but you meant a lot to Casey and seemed like a great mentor to him) Sincerely, "an old friend".
