Dear family and friends of my school friend Ricky,
I was saddened to hear of Rick's recent death. I regret that I did not get to meet you as his extended family, wife, children, and grandchildren during his later life or at his funeral service. But it was good to read about some of his life and interests. I have not seen or talked to Rick since 8th grade, I think. But I do recognize Rick from his photo. His warm smile and the gleam in his eyes did not change as he became an older adult. He was a fun-loving and mischievous school boy. He liked to tease us girls. I was one of six students who graduated together from 8th grade at Ludlow Grade School in 1959. Joe and Rick were a third of that same class. Lots of memories. Our small graduating class came to my parents house for a little graduation party the day we graduated. I still have pictures of that festive little gathering so long ago. As a farm girl first in Illinois and now in Pennsylvania, I am interested in knowing that Rick was an avid gardner and tree planter just like my husband Ken. I think Lynn and Rick would have enjoyed a visit to our farm here in Mount Joy, Pa!
May the God of all comfort be very close to your hearts during this time of grieving and loss.
Thinking of you as Rick's beloved family with love and prayers,
